This update fixes several bugs. It also includes a workaround for issues encountered on macOS 15 (Sequoia).
Please follow the instructions below closely to avoid license problems.
Windows update instructions:
- Quit "Aligner License Server" (but do not uninstall). If you are running the License Server as a service, stop the service.
- Open an Explorer window for the folder where the License Server is installed (usually in C:\Program Files\ or C:\Program Files (x86)\).
- Double-click the "Check for updates" icon (you may need to allow internet access when prompted by your firewall).
- Follow the instructions on the screen to install the update. Make sure to install is at the same location as the older version.
- Start Aligner License Server. If you encounter any problems, please contact CodonCode Corporation.
Mac OS update instructions:
- Quit "Aligner License Server" (but do not uninstall).
- Download the License Server installer for Mac OS.
- Make sure that the older version is installed at the default location - a folder called "Aligner License Server" in "Applications". If installed at a different location, or moved or renamed the folder where the License Server was installed, please move it back or rename the folder before installing the new version.
- Install Aligner License Server 1.2.7 on the same hard disk or partition. It is very important that you have only one version of the License Server installed!
- Start Aligner License Server. If you encounter any problems, please contact CodonCode Corporation.
The Aligner License Server enables users of CodonCode Aligner, our software for sequence assembly and multiple sequence alignment, to use licenses on multiple computers on an alternating basis.
