Sending Aligner projects to CodonCode support

Postby Brian Campbell » Tue Jul 20, 2010 2:05 pm

When you encounter a problem in CodonCode Aligner that is specific to your project, we may ask you to send us your entire project.

The best way to send this is by creating a ZIP archive of the project folder (the directory that contains the .proj file, and sub-folders edit_dir, chromat_dir, and phd_dir). This can be done as follows:
  1. Open a Mac OS X Finder or a Windows Explorer window.
  2. Navigate to the directory that contains your project folder.
  3. Right-click (or command-click on OS X) on the project folder to show a popup menu.
  4. In the menu, you will see an option to create a ZIP archive (called "Send to->Compressed folder", "Compress", "Create archive", or similar). Click one of this option to create a ZIP file, usually in the same directory that contains your project folder. Depending on your system settings, you may or may not see the ".zip" extension.

Check the size of the ZIP file you just created. You can send smaller ZIP files (up to about 5 MB) as email attachments to support (at) codoncode. com. If the ZIP file is larger than 5 MB, please contact us for upload instructions.
